Nica Rustica Connecticut Shade Toro 6″ x 50

Nica Rustica is Drew Estate’s rustic line, with packaging built around the El Brujito folk figure, and the Connecticut Shade version is the gentle end of it.

An Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper covers a Mexican binder, mild to medium in body. Expect cream, cedar, almond and a light, bready sweetness. At 6 by 50 it burns slow and even and gives the blend a proper middle.

Connecticut Shade is grown under cloth to keep the sun off, which keeps the leaf thin, pale and mild. In Ecuador the cloud cover does the job, so growers there skip the cloth.

Pairs well with coffee, champagne, or cream ale.
