The Melanio Maduro Torpedo swaps the line’s natural wrapper for a darker Mexican San Andrés leaf, finished with a tapered head. The Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Torpedo sets that maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, box-pressed at full strength.

The flavor usually runs to dark chocolate, cedar, baking spice, and black pepper, sweeter than the natural Melanio. It placed No. 6 in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2024. The 6 1/2 by 52 torpedo tapers to a point that focuses the draw early.
