Description

Oliva’s Serie V Melanio honors Melanio Oliva, who began growing tobacco in the late 1800s, and the Robusto is its compact natural-wrapper size. The Oliva Serie V Melanio Robusto carries a sun-grown Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and aged Jalapa filler, box-pressed at a medium to full body.

The flavor usually leans toward cedar, espresso, sweet baking spice, and a soft caramel thread. At 5 by 52, the robusto holds that character in a shorter, even-burning format.

The medium to full strength keeps it workable through the day rather than only at night. It is sold as singles or boxes of 10, so one is an easy first try. An everyday size in the Melanio range.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or cognac.
