Quorum Shade is the lightest of the three Quorum wrapper expressions, pairing an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper with a Sumatra Sungrown binder over Nicaraguan filler. The cigars are hand-rolled at the PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, using the Cuban sandwich construction that runs across the Quorum range, with each bundle inspected through a four-step quality control process. The Corona measures 5 1/2 by 43, ships in 20-count bundles, and sits at mild body.

Expect cream, light cedar, and a soft toasted note up front, with white pepper, almond, and a touch of grain running through the middle before a finish carrying dry wood and a clean tobacco close. The narrow 43 ring gauge keeps the Connecticut Shade wrapper forward and the smoke concentrated, with the lighter body holding steady across the burn. The format runs around an hour, fitting a coffee-side or afternoon break.
