Description

handmade in Nicaragua, the Rocky Patel White Label Toro is a Connecticut-wrapped toro from Rocky Patel. Rocky Patel worked as a Hollywood entertainment lawyer before he turned to making cigars.

It blends a U.S. Connecticut Shade wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Honduran filler at a medium body, leading with cream, cedar, blanched almond, and a gentle white-pepper snap. At 6 1/2 by 52, it burns cool and even.

Mild is not the same as simple. A good shade wrapper carries cream, cedar, almond and a faint white pepper on the finish, and because there is no maduro sweetness to hide behind, any flaw in the filler shows immediately.

Pairs well with coffee, cream ale, or amber ale.
