Description

San Cristobal takes its name from San Cristobal de La Habana, the full original name of the city of Havana. Ashton owns the brand and the Garcia family makes it at My Father in Esteli.

An Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper covers Nicaraguan binder and filler, medium to full in body. Expect cedar, black pepper, espresso and a sweet, leathery spice. At 5 1/2 by 50, it burns cool and even.

The same Habano seed grown in Ecuador comes out thinner and more even than in Nicaragua, because the cloud cover there filters sun the way shade cloth does. It is the wrapper of choice when a blender wants Cuban character without the rough edges.
