San Cristobal
San Cristobal is a partnership between two cigar names: Ashton, the prestige American house, and the García family of My Father. Ashton’s Levin family had held the San Cristobal trademark since the 1980s, and when they turned toward Nicaragua in the 2000s, they brought the name to José “Pepín” García. The cigar launched in 2007 and made its mark fast.
Blended by the Garcías and rolled at My Father Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua, San Cristobal is built on Nicaraguan tobacco from the family’s farms and known for full-bodied power. The line fans out by wrapper and strength, from the dark, peppery original to the milder Connecticut-wrapped Elegancia. Rich and impeccably built, San Cristobal cigars are a Nicaraguan heavyweight made in the Cuban tradition.
