Handmade in Nicaragua, the The Wise Man Corojo Robusto is a Corojo-wrapped robusto from Foundation Cigar Co. The Wise Man is Foundation’s El Güegüense, named after a satirical Nicaraguan folk play recognized by UNESCO.

It blends a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium to full body, leading with leather, red pepper, dry cedar, and a sweet, earthy core. At 5 1/2 by 50, it burns cool and even.

Medium to full and unhurried, it leans toward the evening. A well-made Nicaraguan.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
