Description

Handmade in Nicaragua, the The Wise Man Corojo Robusto is a Corojo-wrapped robusto from Foundation Cigar Co. The Wise Man is Foundation’s El Güegüense, named after a satirical Nicaraguan folk play recognized by UNESCO.

It blends a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium body, leading with leather, red pepper, dry cedar, and a sweet, earthy core. At 5 1/2 by 50, it burns cool and even.

Corojo 99 and Corojo 2006 are the disease resistant descendants of the original. Growers who still plant the old seed pay for it in lost crop, which is why a cigar advertising authentic Corojo costs more.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
