XIKAR refines it down to near zero impurities, under 15 parts per million, which matters more than most people expect. Cheap butane leaves residue behind, and a clogged jet is the usual cause of death for a torch lighter that is otherwise fine.

The eight ounce can is the one to keep at home rather than carry. It refills a pocket lighter many times over and works in any refillable butane lighter.
