Description

The HVC Hot Cake Golden Line Connecticut Laguito No. 4 is the 4 1/2 by 52 robusto of the Golden Line, the Connecticut wrapped take on HVC’s Hot Cake. HVC released it in July 2023, and it is made at HVC’s own factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.

Inside is the same core as the original Hot Cake: Jalapa Corojo 99 and Esteli Corojo 98 for the binder and filler, plus three varieties of Corojo 2006 Maduro in the filler, using the viso leaves of the plant. An Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper goes over it. HVC calls the result mild to medium, smooth and rich, with notes of cedar, leather and cocoa.

The Golden Line runs from a 3 1/2 by 44 Half Corona to the 6 by 60 Gran Canon, all in boxes of 25.

Pairs well with coffee, cream ale, or amber ale.
