Description

The Connecticut Shade is the pale-wrapped side of Drew Estate’s Undercrown, and the Gran Toro is a thicker size. The Liga Undercrown Connecticut Shade Gran Toro sets an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper over a Sumatra binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler, at a medium body.

The flavor usually stays smooth, with cedar, cream, almond, and a light sweetness. At 6 by 52, the gran toro gives an even, easygoing burn.

The medium body works across the day rather than only the evening. It is sold as singles or boxes of 25, so one is an easy first taste. A smooth, shade-wrapped Undercrown.

Pairs well with coffee, cream ale, or amber ale.
