Oliva Connecticut Reserve Robusto is part of Oliva’s Nicaraguan-made Connecticut series, using an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers. The line has been described in trade coverage as built from the lighter viso and seco grades rather than ligero, which helps explain its steadier mild to medium body and more restrained character.

At 5 x 50, the Robusto adds a bit more weight and time than the smaller vitolas while keeping the blend straightforward. The profile often opens with cream, cedar, and toast, then leans toward coffee, nuts, and soft pepper through the middle. It fits well as an earlier-in-the-day smoke or any time a rounder traditional robusto format is the priority.
