Description

B Positive is the darker take on Crowned Heads’ Blood Medicine. It started in 2025 as a single limited toro, and for 2026 it returns in three sizes: a 5 by 52, a 5 1/2 by 56, and this 6 by 54 Toro.

The binder and filler are the same as the regular Blood Medicine, an Ecuadorian Connecticut seed binder over Nicaraguan fillers. The one change is the wrapper, a Nicaraguan Corojo leaf in place of the Ecuadorian Habano. Crowned Heads’ Jon Huber says the aim was to push the blend somewhere darker, meatier and more intense, and it leans toward cocoa, espresso, leather and earth.

It’s rolled at Eradio Pichardo’s TacaNicsa factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, and each size is limited to 800 boxes of 21. The Blood Medicine name nods to a piece of Nashville history, the city Crowned Heads calls home.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or stout.
