The Toscano Master Aged Series 4 is a fire-cured-wrapped cheroot from Toscano, the Italian fire-cured house, handmade in Italy. Toscano cigars are Italian, made from fire-cured Kentucky tobacco and often smoked in halves.

It blends an Italian Kentucky wrapper over a Kentucky binder and filler at a full body, leading with dry, smoky wood, leather, espresso, and a savory, toasted edge. At 6 1/3 by 56, it burns cool and even.

Fire curing is the whole difference here. Instead of air drying in a barn, the Kentucky leaf hangs over smouldering hardwood, which drives the smoke into the tobacco itself. It is the same principle as smoking a piece of meat, and it is why a Toscano tastes like nothing else on the shelf.

Pairs well with espresso, grappa, or red wine.
