The XIKAR Xi2 in the Casa Carrillo edition, a double guillotine cutter from XIKAR.

A straight cut is the most versatile of the three common cuts. It works on any head shape, including the torpedoes and belicosos a punch cannot touch, and it gives the widest draw.

Two stainless steel blades meet in the middle and support the cigar from both sides. A single blade pushes the head across the anvil, which is why cheap single blade cutters tear more than they cut. The body is nylon reinforced with fiberglass, and it takes cigars up to a 60 ring gauge.

XIKAR backs it with a limited lifetime warranty, which is a real thing to weigh on a tool with moving parts.
