Description

La Flor Dominicana’s Colorado Oscuro is wrapped in a dark Nicaraguan Habano leaf, over a Dominican binder and a filler blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco. LFD calls it full bodied, and it is.

Cocoa and a dried fig sweetness up front, black pepper and earth through the middle, leather on a long finish. At 5 1/4 by 54 it burns cool and even.

Oscuro is the darkest grade of wrapper, left on the plant the longest and fermented the hardest. That is where the cocoa sweetness sitting on top of the pepper comes from.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
