Description

From Viva La Vida, the Viva La Vida Robusto is a maduro-wrapped robusto, handmade in Nicaragua.

It blends a Nicaraguan Habano Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan Corojo binder and Nicaraguan Criollo 98 filler at a medium to full body, leading with cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, almost-syrupy dark earth. At 5 by 54, it burns cool and even.

Habano seed left Cuba in the 1960s with the growers who left after the revolution, which is why the same plant now grows in Nicaragua, Honduras and Ecuador, and why so many non-Cuban cigars taste Cuban in outline.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
