Description

The Vintage 1990 is built around a Honduran Broadleaf wrapper aged 12 years. Rocky Patel says the age softened the leaf’s strength and added complexity, and calls the cigar medium bodied, leaning toward the milder side.

Cigar Aficionado traced the leaf to a broadleaf field in Honduras’ Talanga Valley. It went unused for years and took on age, and Rocky Patel paired it with a Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler.

Cigar Aficionado rated this Robusto 92 points in October 2004, describing it as nutty, earthy and sweet, and named it the No. 22 cigar of that year’s Top 25. Cigar Insider, scoring it 91, picked up wood and nuts with a smooth, spicy finish. It comes in boxes of 20.

Pairs well with bourbon, coffee, or brown ale.
