Description

Días de Gloria means glory days in Spanish. AJ Fernandez first used the name for a Nicaraguan puro in round sizes. The Brazil, which shipped in May 2024, is the second blend under that name: a darker cigar with a Brazilian wrapper, pressed square in the box.

The wrapper is Brazilian Mata Fina maduro, over binder and filler grown on AJ Fernandez’s own farms in Nicaragua, and every cigar is rolled at his factory in Estelí. Expect cocoa, coffee and earth with cedar and cream, plus white pepper that is strongest early on.

At 6 1/2 by 60, the Gordo is the biggest cigar in the line. The wide ring keeps it cool and slow, about an hour and a half. It comes in boxes of 20, each cigar in a cedar wrap. The Toro in this blend placed 16th on halfwheel’s Top 25 Cigars of 2024.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
