Jaime Garcia

Jaime García is the eponymous line of the younger García, son of José “Pepín” García and now a master blender in his own right. For years Jaime worked as his father’s right hand across the family’s farms and factory floor before stepping out with his own blend, one that carries the family name without simply copying the house style. The flagship Jaime García Reserva Especial began in 2009 as a one-time cigar for a single event, then proved good enough to earn a permanent place. Rolled at My Father Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua, it wears a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan core from García family farms. Fuller in body but smooth, Jaime García cigars lean more toward cocoa and coffee than the peppery punch of Pepín’s own work.
