Description

Series JJ is named for Janin and Jaime, Don Pepin Garcia’s daughter and son. It was one of the first blends to carry the family name and it still smokes the way Pepin built his reputation: heavy on pepper up front, then sweet.

A Corojo Rosado wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, full bodied, with cedar, black pepper, espresso and a leathery sweetness. At 5 3/4 by 52 the tapered head concentrates the front of the smoke.

Rosado is the reddish shade between natural and maduro. On a Corojo leaf it usually means the spice arrives with some sweetness behind it rather than raw pepper alone.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
