Description

Pledge Purple marks five years of Pledge Prequel. Its Havana-seed Connecticut wrapper comes from the same crop as the original Pledge: bales Ernesto Perez-Carrillo set aside and kept aging, now nearly a decade old.

That wrapper, grown in Connecticut by Dunn and Foster, covers a Mexican binder and Nicaraguan filler from Estelí, Condega and Ometepe, made in the Dominican Republic. Casa Carrillo rates it full. Expect coffee, earth and dark chocolate. At 6 by 54, it’s a full size toro with room for the aged leaf to show.

It’s a limited Premier Collection release: 3,500 boxes of 10 in total.
