EP Carrillo

EP Carrillo is the signature brand of Ernesto Pérez-Carrillo, a man so respected he’s often called the godfather of boutique cigars. Before this brand, he ran his family’s El Crédito company and built the modern La Gloria Cubana into a star, then sold it and, in 2009, launched EPC Cigar Co. with his children Ernesto III and Lissette. The cigars are made at his Tabacalera La Alianza factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Pérez-Carrillo is best known for a remarkable trilogy: La Historia was Cigar Aficionado’s number two cigar of 2014, Encore took the number one spot in 2018, and Pledge claimed number one again in 2020 with a 98 rating, the highest score the magazine has ever given a cigar of the year. Refined and consistently elite, EP Carrillo cigars are among the most awarded in the business.
