From Nicholas Melillo’s Foundation Cigar Co., the Foundation Charter Oak Habano Rothschild is a Habano-wrapped robusto, handmade in Nicaragua. Nicholas Melillo spent years sourcing Nicaraguan leaf before founding the brand.

It blends an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium body, leading with cedar, black pepper, espresso, and a sweet, leathery spice. At 4 1/4 by 50, it burns cool and even.
