Description

A wider and slightly shorter take on the Pasión blend, the Robusto sits squarely in the most-requested format size.

Pasión is the first Nicaraguan puro in the La Aroma de Cuba portfolio, created by Don Pepin Garcia and his son Jaime for Ashton Cigars. A Nicaraguan shade-grown wrapper from Namanji covers Nicaraguan binder and long-filler from Estelí and Jalapa, with all leaves triple-fermented before rolling at My Father Cigars in Estelí. The Robusto measures 5 1/2 by 50 at medium-to-full body.

Expect cashew and cedar early on, with leather and a touch of molasses through the middle, then black pepper and natural tobacco sweetness on the finish. The 50 ring gauge rounds out the smoke and pulls a bit more sweetness from the shade-grown wrapper compared to the slimmer formats. Rated 94 by Cigar Aficionado. The size fits a standard hour-long session.
