Description

La Dueña means the female owner. It is the Garcia family’s tribute to Janny Garcia, after Don Pepin got the My Father cigar and Jaime got the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial. Jaime Garcia blended it with Pete Johnson of Tatuaje.

The wrapper is an oily Connecticut Broadleaf maduro, over a binder and filler of Broadleaf and Nicaraguan tobacco, the Nicaraguan leaf all from the Garcia family farm in Estelí. It smokes medium to full, with sweet wood, leather, mocha and a tangy spice.

The No. 7 is a 6 by 42 petit lancero finished with a pigtail cap. A slim ring puts more wrapper into each draw relative to the filler, so the Broadleaf has more say here than in the thicker sizes. It comes in boxes of 21.

Pairs well with espresso, bourbon, or a porter.
