Serie V is the blend that made Oliva a household name, built heavy on ligero, the thick, slow burning leaf from the top of the plant that most blenders use sparingly.

An Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper covers Nicaraguan binder and filler, medium to full in body. Expect cedar, sweet spice, coffee and dark fruit. At 6 by 60, the thick ring keeps the smoke cool and the burn slow.

A ring gauge this big holds far more filler than wrapper, so the blend’s core leads and the wrapper sits in the background. It also burns cooler, which is most of why thick cigars have taken over.
