A wide-gauge format in the Quorum Classic lineup, the Double Gordo pushes J.C. Newman’s mild-to-medium Nicaraguan blend into a 60 ring gauge shape.

Quorum Classic is hand-rolled at the PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, with each bundle subject to a four-step quality control inspection before leaving the floor. The blend uses an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and aged Nicaraguan long-filler. The Double Gordo measures 6 by 60, ships in bundles of 20, and sits at mild-to-medium body.

The flavor tends to lean toward cream and toasted bread up front, with cedar, light coffee, and a touch of natural sweetness running through the middle before a finish carrying soft pepper and dry wood. The wide 60 ring gauge tips the wrapper-to-filler ratio toward the Nicaraguan core, which rounds the smoke and pulls more of the cream and bread character forward than in the slimmer formats. The size suits a longer afternoon or evening session.
