Description

Sun Grown is Rocky Patel’s Honduran made line, built around an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper aged five years. Rocky Patel describes it as medium plus in body, and the Robusto is its 5 1/2 by 50.

Under the wrapper sit a Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler. Cigar Insider rated this Robusto 90 points and found it dark, smooth and quite oily, with a toasty aroma, chocolate, earth and wood, and a creamy finish with a hint of sweetness.

A later Cigar Aficionado tasting found it earthier and fuller, with wood, spice and nuts ahead of a briny finish. The Robusto comes in bundles of 25.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
