Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Robusto is a Dominican-made cigar from the Reserva Real line, introduced in 2006 as a smoother Connecticut-wrapped extension of Romeo y Julieta. The 5 x 52 robusto uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, keeping the blend in the mild to medium range without flattening it out.

This profile tends to lean toward cream, cedar, light spice, and toast early, with earth, nuts, and a touch of coffee coming forward through the middle. Robusto suits smokers who prefer a more compact format, and it also makes sense earlier in the day or when a classic Connecticut-style cigar is the better fit. In this line, the robusto keeps the same core character as the toro but in a more direct presentation.
