The Espinosa Crema No. 4 Robusto sits at the brand’s mild-to-medium end, serving as the everyday format in a line built around Connecticut tobacco rather than the spicier Nicaraguan blends Espinosa is better known for.

Crema was the first Connecticut release in the Espinosa portfolio, pairing an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and long filler. Production runs out of Erik Espinosa’s La Zona factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Robusto comes in at 5 1/2 by 52.

The flavor tends to lean creamy and mellow, with light cedar, soft coffee, and a touch of citrus through the middle, finishing nutty and clean. Strength stays toward the lighter end throughout, keeping the wrapper’s natural sweetness intact rather than pushing into spice. The format works earlier in the day or as a shorter session option.
