Description

The The Wise Man Corojo Toro is a Corojo-wrapped toro from Foundation Cigar Co., handmade in Nicaragua. The Wise Man is Foundation’s El Güegüense, named after a satirical Nicaraguan folk play recognized by UNESCO.

It blends a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium body, leading with leather, red pepper, dry cedar, and a sweet, earthy core. At 6 by 52, it burns cool and even.

The pepper in Corojo shows up through the nose first. If a cigar labelled Corojo does not tingle on a retrohale in the first few draws, the wrapper is probably not doing much of the work.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
