Description

Zino Platinum is the Davidoff family’s ultra premium line, named for Zino Davidoff. The Crown Series is built on unusual shapes, and the Chubby Especial is a fat perfecto, tapered at both ends and swelling to a 61 ring in the middle.

The blend pulls from four countries: an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Connecticut binder, and filler from the Dominican Republic and Peru. The wrapper is aged two years, the binder four and the filler five before rolling. Each one is handmade in the Dominican Republic and sealed in its own aluminum tube.

It smokes medium, smooth and creamy, with cedar, roasted nuts and coffee under a steady line of spice. The tapered foot lights fast and the flavour opens up as the cigar reaches its full girth.

Pairs well with espresso, bourbon or an aged rum.
