The Sin Compromiso Seleccion No. 5 Parejo is a San Andrés-wrapped toro from Sin Compromiso, handmade in Nicaragua. Sin Compromiso, Spanish for no compromise, is a Steve Saka Dunbarton blend.

It blends a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadorian Habano binder with Nicaraguan filler at a full body, leading with cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, almost-syrupy dark earth. At 6 by 54, it burns cool and even.

San Andres leaf comes from a single valley in Veracruz, Mexico, where the soil and a long fermentation give it the cocoa and dark earth it is known for. It is the default choice when a blender wants a maduro that tastes sweet rather than just dark.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or stout.
