Description

Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the EP Carrillo Allegiance Sidekick Robusto is a Sumatra-wrapped robusto from Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s E.P. Carrillo. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo built the brand after decades shaping modern premium cigars.

It blends an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan Habano binder and Nicaraguan filler at a medium to full body, leading with earth, cedar, coffee, and a peppery, faintly sweet finish. At 5 by 50, it burns cool and even.

Sumatra is what a blender reaches for to get colour without heat. It reads darker than it smokes, which catches out anyone who judges a cigar by how black the wrapper looks.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
