The Factory Smokes Maduro Churchill is a short filler bundle cigar from Drew Estate, handmade at their factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Factory Smokes is the budget end of the catalog, and it is not pretending to be anything else.

A Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper goes over an Indonesian binder with Indonesian and Nicaraguan filler. Medium, cocoa and coffee with a dry earth behind it. It does that from the light to the nub and does not go anywhere else. At 7 by 50, it burns cool enough.

These are mixed filler: some whole long leaf, but a lot of chopped leaf and cuttings. Mixed filler lights easy, burns faster and hotter than all long filler, and does not develop much from light to nub. That is the trade, and it is why a bundle of these costs about what one premium cigar costs.

Pairs well with bourbon, coffee, or porter.
