Description

Drew Estate’s Esteli factory makes Liga Privada and Undercrown. It also makes this, which is most of the appeal.

A Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper covers an Indonesian binder with Indonesian and Nicaraguan filler, medium in body. Expect cocoa, coffee and dark earth. At 6 by 60 the ring is wide enough to keep the smoke cool, which flatters mixed filler more than a slim size would.

The saving comes from the filler. Instead of whole leaves running the length of the cigar, the core is chopped leaf and offcuts from long filler production, which is why a bundle costs about what one premium cigar does.

Pairs well with bourbon, coffee, or porter.
