Description

The Joya de Nicaragua AntaƱo 1970 Alisado is a Criollo-wrapped toro from Joya de Nicaragua, the country’s oldest cigar maker, handmade in Nicaragua. Joya de Nicaragua has rolled cigars in EstelĆ­ since 1968.

It blends a Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a full body, leading with cedar, sweet spice, toasted almond, and a soft pepper. At 6 by 52, it burns cool and even.

Criollo sits sweeter and rounder than Corojo, with less pepper, which is why blenders so often pair the two: Corojo for the spice, Criollo for the sweetness underneath it.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or stout.
