From Joya de Nicaragua, the country’s oldest cigar maker, the Joya de Nicaragua Cuatro Cinco Toro is a Nicaraguan Jalapa-wrapped toro, handmade in Nicaragua. Joya de Nicaragua has rolled cigars in Estelí since 1968.

It blends a Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper over a Nicaraguan and Dominican binder and Nicaraguan filler at a full body, leading with cocoa, cedar, roasted coffee, and black pepper over a sweet, earthy base. At 6 1/4 by 50, it burns cool and even.

Volcanic ground is what gives Nicaraguan tobacco its weight. It is the reason a country that only started making premium cigars in earnest in the 1960s now sets the pace.
