Description

The H. Upmann Nicaragua AJ Fernandez Heritage Torpedo is a Brazilian Mata Fina-wrapped torpedo from AJ Fernandez, handmade in Nicaragua. AJ Fernandez learned to grow and blend tobacco from his grandfather in Cuba before building one of Nicaragua’s most sought-after factories.

It blends a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Brazilian filler at a medium to full body, leading with cedar, coffee, black pepper, and a sweet, earthy core. At 6 1/8 by 52, it burns cool and even.

A tapered head hands you a decision the round sizes do not. Clip a sliver off the tip for a tight draw, or take it down toward the shoulder to open it up. Same cigar, two smokes.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
