The Plasencia Alma Fuerte Colorado Claro Sixto I Tubos is a Nicaraguan-wrapped box-pressed gordo from the Plasencia family, handmade in Nicaragua. The Plasencia family has grown tobacco for generations.

It blends a Nicaraguan wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium body, leading with cocoa, cedar, roasted coffee, and black pepper over a sweet, earthy base. At 6 by 60, the box press gives it crisp edges and a slow, even burn.

Box pressing squares the cigar under weight after rolling. It slows the burn, and a squared cigar sits still on a table instead of rolling off the edge, which is a small thing until it happens.

Pairs well with coffee, bourbon, or amber ale.
