Boreal is the toro of Plasencia’s Alma del Cielo, the high-altitude soul of the sky line. The Plasencia Alma del Cielo Boreal is a Nicaraguan puro with filler grown near 3,500 feet, under a Jalapa wrapper, at a medium body.

The flavor usually moves toward marzipan, honey, nougat, and a soft earthy sweetness, kept gentle by the high-elevation tobacco. At 6 1/8 by 54, the round toro gives a longer, even burn.

The medium body works at most times of day. It is sold as singles or boxes of 10, so one is an easy way in. A smooth, longer high-altitude puro.
