Description

The Maduro counterpart to Davidoff’s slim Nicaragua Primeros, this version swaps the Habano wrapper for a darker leaf without changing the format.

The line draws from the Davidoff Nicaragua range introduced in 2013. The Nicaragua Maduro Primeros uses a Habano 2000 Maduro wrapper from Nicaragua over an Ecuadorian binder and a short-filler of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco, hand-rolled at Cigars Davidoff in the Dominican Republic. The cigar measures 4 1/8 by 34, ships in tins of 6 and boxes of 25, and sits at the medium end of the body scale.

Expect cocoa, coffee, and cream up front, with sweet wood, roasted nut, and a touch of black pepper through the middle before a finish carrying earth and a soft maduro sweetness. The narrow 34 ring gauge keeps the wrapper character forward and the smoke concentrated, with burn time running around 25 to 40 minutes depending on pace. The tinned packaging includes an integrated humidity pack, making the format a fit for a brief break or a coffee-side smoke.
