Description

La Flor Dominicana 30th Anniversary was released to mark the company’s 30-year milestone and uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over an aged binder from Cotuí and fillers from LFD’s La Canela farm in the Dominican Republic. It comes in a 6 1/2 x 58 box-pressed Chisel format, which gives it the line’s familiar wedge-shaped head and a more concentrated opening.

The blend leans richer than mild, but Cigar Aficionado lists it at medium strength and ranked it No. 13 in the Top 25 Cigars of 2025 with a 95 rating. The flavor usually opens on dark wood, earth, spice, and coffee, then moves toward deeper sweetness and a heavier finish as it develops.

This is a commemorative cigar, but the main story is still the blend and shape. The larger box-pressed Chisel makes it feel deliberate and dense, with more depth than speed. Pairing: espresso, bourbon, or dark rum.

    For all the LFD fans, this is a must try and a MUST addition to the humidor. A full body smoke with a touch of pepper, balanced with the cocoa and cedar notes, this cigar performed well above its peers. I found myself smoking this for over an hour and every quarter finding the flavors and smoke to develop more and more until the finish. Oily and thick smoke, the retrohale made me want to eat the cigar! They did an amazing job and will say the shape definitely helped concentrate those notes. Thankful for CigarGrail, Moe and Jay, for not only having this cigar but recommending it to me after I told them my favorite LFD was the Double Ligero Maduro 700, because now the 700 is 2nd place and this 30th anniversary is 1st place!
