Description

God of Fire by Carlito honors Carlos Fuente Jr., the son who pushed the family into Opus X, and it is the bolder of the two God of Fire blends Prometheus commissioned from the Fuente factory.

A silky African Cameroon wrapper covers aged Dominican binder and filler, full in body. Expect cedar, coffee, cocoa and sweet spice, with the roasted, faintly nutty edge only Cameroon leaf gives. At 5 3/4 by 52, the double robusto runs an hour or better and holds its shape the whole way.

This is the tubo. The aluminum tube holds humidity and keeps the thin, easily nicked Cameroon wrapper out of trouble in a pocket, which makes it the one to carry when the box stays home.

Pairs well with cognac, espresso, or champagne.
