The Arturo Fuente Opus X Lost City Robusto is a rare, well-aged Opus X tied to Andy Garcia’s 2005 film The Lost City, which followed a Cuban tobacco family through the revolution. Carlito Fuente grew tobacco for a farm scene in the movie, and that same tobacco became the Lost City blend. Like the rest of Opus X it is a Dominican puro, a rich, oily Chateau de la Fuente wrapper over Dominican binder and filler, here in a 5 1/4 x 50 robusto. The profile is medium-full, opening on sweet cedar and raisin before moving through leather, oak, espresso, and dark chocolate to a creamy, baking-spice finish. It is one of the harder Opus X releases to find and rewards an unhurried smoke. Pairs well with cognac, bourbon, or espresso.
