God of Fire is the cigar Prometheus commissioned from the Fuente family. The name fits the maker: Prometheus is the Titan who stole fire from the gods, and the company built its name on lighters and humidors first.

An Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper covers Dominican binder and filler, medium to full in body. Expect cedar, sweet spice, coffee and dark fruit. At 5 1/4 by 50, it burns cool and even.

The Dominican Republic grows most of its tobacco in the Cibao valley, and its reputation for smoothness comes from that soil more than from any blending habit.
