Viva La Vida

Viva La Vida is the debut brand of Artesano del Tobacco, the company started by brothers Billy and Gus Fakih, longtime New York City tobacconists who sold their Cigar Inn shops and set out to make their own cigars. Launched in 2019, it’s made by AJ Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua, and dressed with festive harlequin artwork that gives the brand its celebratory feel. Viva La Vida is an all-Nicaraguan cigar, built on tobacco from AJ Fernandez’s own farms, and lands in the medium to full-bodied range with rich, layered flavor that has earned it real critical praise. The line has since expanded with anniversary and milder Connecticut releases. Flavorful and boutique, Viva La Vida cigars are the cornerstone of Artesano del Tobacco, the same outfit behind the bolder El Pulpo.
