Description

From Viva La Vida, the Viva La Vida Jester is a maduro-wrapped gordo, handmade in Nicaragua.

It blends a Nicaraguan Habano Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan Corojo binder and Nicaraguan Criollo 98 filler at a medium to full body, leading with cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, almost-syrupy dark earth. At 5 by 56, it burns cool and even.

Habano is the most planted premium wrapper outside Cuba, less out of fashion than reliability. It takes to Nicaraguan and Ecuadorian ground without losing the Cuban character.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
