Padrón is, for many smokers, the gold standard. The company was founded by José Orlando Padrón, a Cuban exile who started rolling cigars in Miami in 1964, and the family built a reputation for consistency and quality that few names in the business can match. José Orlando passed in 2017, and his son Jorge now leads the company. Padrón cigars are Nicaraguan puros made at the family’s factory in Estelí, sun-grown and aged for years before release.
